| Welcome To Tampa Athletic Club

Welcome to the Tampa Athletic Club and west central Florida's leader in the sport of Masters rowing! Whether you are new to rowing or have experience, Tampa Athletic Club offers a welcoming and comprehensive program for adult rowers of all skill levels and athletic abilities. Whether you are a recent college graduate, a seasoned rower, a new Learn To Row graduate, or a competitive rower, we have a seat in one of our boats for you! Our club participates in regattas from local events to national competitions such as the Head of the Hooch.

New to the area and looking for a place to row? If you are new to the sport of rowing and are interested in learning how to row, we would encourage you to sign up for one of our 'Learn to Row' clinics, where you can learn to row in a single weekend!  If you have any questions or would like to get involved please contact us

In rowing clubs throughout the world, rowers over the age of 18 are referred to as “Masters”. Tampa Athletic Club Masters who are in good standing receive access to our practices, the guidance of our professional coaches, and are covered under the club’s insurance through U.S. Rowing. Members of our club may also compete in regattas across the country as well as enjoy many other benefits.

Tampa Athletic Club (TAC) was founded in the fall of 2011 by a board of dedicated rowers in Tampa Bay. Our club is a community of volunteer members that are enthusiastic about the sport of rowing. The purpose of TAC is to provide our membership the highest quality rowing, fitness, and regatta experiences that a club can provide. Our success is due to our members. As a result we continue to re-invest in our club so that we can offer everyone an outstanding opportunity to enjoy the sport.

Where Do We Row?

TAC rows out of the Tampa River Center at Julian B Lane Park, 402 W Laurel St, Tampa, FL  33607. Directions to the boathouse can be found on our Contact page.

When Do We Row?

As a membership that is comprised of busy adults and working professionals, the schedule is set up in a fashion that we have found meets the needs of everyone.  We offer practices and workouts in the early mornings, evenings, and weekends.  For more information about when we row, visit the Athlete's Corner page.

What Does It Cost to Become a Member?

Tampa Athletic Club offers a variety of affordable pricing options based on the frequency of your rowing participation. Please contact us for specific fees and membership opportunities.
